Security Quiz and Computing Rules

New users

All new users must follow the Security Quiz and sign the acceptance of computing rules document on the Safety Information Registration (SIR) portal at http://sir.cern.ch within 5 days from the Primary account activation (usually the start of the contract).

The account will be blocked if this procedure is not completed within the time limit.

Periodic renewal of the security course

The security course has a validity of 5 years, and the quiz must be passed again after that period.

Users are notified by email when the validity of the security course is going to expire for them. The email will also provide instructions on how to renew the security course.
